(American Public Health Association) APHA10 is based on a visual scale for evaluating the cleanliness of water, with the assumption of clean water being colorless (water white) or very slightly yellow. In Tools QC, this can be calculated from measurements of samples to yield values equivalent to the original visual-based assessments made against samples prepared with specific concentrations of a platinum-cobalt mix in the water.
